• A Miami, Florida-based architect with more than 25 years of experience, Fernando Arteaga is principal at HKS, where he develops master planning and interior design for luxury hospitality properties in the US, Europe, and Latin America. Fernando Arteaga previously served as associate vice president at CallisonRTKL, where he primarily designed hospitality mixed-use projects in Miami. He also designed mega projects in Mexico in collaboration with various European firms.

    Before joining CallisonRTKL, Fernando Arteaga served four years as design director at Wilson Associates. Stationed in Singapore, he worked with international developers and consultants to design contemporary multifaceted landmark projects. He has additional international design experience in Dubai with HBA and has also worked at Gensler, Rockwell Group, and Legorreta Architects.

    In addition to designing signature projects, Mr. Arteaga is versed in complementary tasks such as property survey analysis, cost estimating, zoning analysis and feasibility studies, personnel management, and contract negotiations. He has earned multiple design awards from Porcelanosa Group and holds a bachelor's degree in architecture and urbanism from Iberoamerican University in Mexico City, Mexico.
